Bangalore Horrified in grips of terror. Blast in church street. 1killed 2 injured.

A low intensity bomb blast occurred Church street in Bangalore around 8.30 pm today. The incident took place in front of Hotel Coconut Grove at Church Street, one of the crowded areas near to Commercial Street, M. G. Road and Brigade road.

One woman was killed. Two men are critically injured and rushed to the Mallya Hospital. Police personnel and Bomb Squad are deployed  in the area for further caution.  Police sources confirmed that shrapnel covered area and points out it could be an IED crude bomb concealed in a two wheeler or the vegetables nearby on the foot path.

Police personnel have told people to inform unattended baggages or suspicious object to 100 and stay away from Church street, MG Road, Brigade Road area.

The police are gathering evidence about the blast onsite, talking to witnesses taking immediate precautionary measures. SIT is conducting an investigation and forensic examination on the site.

Home Affairs Minister Shri Rajnath Singh has assured all help from the center, NIA team is on its way to Bengaluru from Delhi. Presently four teams of different agencies are working parallely  on the case.
